Our tips and tools this November 2017

Tips and tools

Each month we scour the web and talk to our friends for tips, tricks and tools to help you tackle different challenges and become better!

This month we’ve got some great tips on eco-friendly Christmas shopping (not long now folks!) and we’ve found some lovely ways to upcycle bottle caps into festive ornaments.

Tips

Started Christmas shopping yet? Check out these tips on keeping your shopping eco-friendly before you hit the shops. From trees, decorations and food to gifts, wrapping and games you’ll find a host of festive treat tips – all without breaking the bank or our planet!

How about using some of your disposable things and make something festively wonderful? Start small with bottle caps like these pictured below. We’ve found some fantastic ideas to make lovely Christmas ornaments while building the feel good and “green” factor to help you do just that! Have fun!

If that’s not enough, check out these great eco-friendly and sustainable gift ideas for those who love their digital lifestyle.

We love all 16 suggestions but our favourites have to be:

  • Terracycle upcycled boombox
  • Thinksound sustainable wood headphones
  • Water powered clock
  • Green power strip
  • Bamboo dry-erase board

And these unusual circular economy Christmas gift ideas are ideal if you're after something a little bit different. The list has lots of ideas including cameras, Lego, tools and bikes.

We bet you agree they're as cool as a green Christmas gift can be!
