It's important to have a friendly, approachable and recognisable point of contact for your reuse project.
When you're welcoming any sort of culture change into an organisation, it's helpful to have one point of contact that everyone knows is the 'go to' person, or the face of reuse.
Warp It’s founder, Daniel O’Connor learned this firsthand when he used to be a waste manager at Newcastle University. Read his story on how he overcame these challenges.
To complement the idea your organisation should have a ‘face of reuse', you can upload a photo of yourself onto the Warp It reuse.
This photo will be seen by those who use Warp It in your organisation, and will make them aware that you are the go to reuse person.
Here's a guide to use this feature.
- Go to settings
- Edit profile
- Scroll down past the logos section
- Use the option to upload a photo for the ‘face of reuse’.
- Upload your photo*
*It may be the case that your reuse project is fronted by a character, or a certain logo.
In that case, you could also use the most notable picture of your reuse project that is available.
Once you’re the face of reuse, expect people across your estate and organisation to recognise you more.
Use this extra awareness to boost engagement and participation, and let people know that if they need to know anymore about reuse, you will gladly help them.

Visual stimulus is important for reuse.
Why not stick some posters up around your estate?
