Dare to Compare? Current Practice vs Easily Achievable

Reflections are powerful...

When we take a look at what we are doing, often, we notice things that we are proud of, and things that we want to change.

When it comes to sustainable activities, recycling, upcycling, reuse projects and the like, Warp It is always here to help you reflect on what you’re doing now, and help you see the path of least resistance, the best practices, and the way to have the greatest effect.

Guaranteed real results

Warp It offers guaranteed results when the reflective work is done properly, and we have a quality track record to back it up, simply look at this page for evidence.

Dare to compare?

Ask yourself these seven questions, and write down the honest, unfiltered truths…

  • What are you doing to tackle wastefulness?
  • Could you be doing more?

  • Are you promoting reuse effectively on your estate?
  • Could you be doing more?

  • Do you really believe that your system is working?
  • Are your savings legitimate, and are you impressed by them?
  • Do you have the means to measure your success?

The diplomatic challenge

Sometimes, in a organisation, people skirt around an issue because they don’t want to take the responsibility of addressing it head on. Sadly, this is all too common, and it happens far too frequently for our liking when it comes to waste, reuse and sustainability measures.

It’s in everyone’s best interests to do more for the things they believe in, so if you feel that you are, or could be a green champion within your organisation, ask yourself these seven questions. Replace ‘you’ with ‘your organisation’ and you may see some opportunities that have been missed from around the estate that you can raise with the relevant person/s.

The cost of not taking action?

Look at the savings being made on our system - if all of those organisations did not have at least one green champion who sought out a solution for needless waste, the cost of inaction would be enormous. Think about £14.5m saved, £2m donated to charity, 2,400 tonnes of waste diverted, and over 6,700 tonnes of CO2 saved from entering the atmosphere.

Would you prefer to be on the side of history that took action, or the side that didn’t? More so, there are organisations active on Warp It who we believe have much greater potential than they are showing, based on the quantity and quality of both staff and physical assets.

Easy wins

We have a whole page dedicated to our content that exposes easy wins.

On this page you are going to find best practice content for building decommissions, communicating with procurement, announcements and communications, the power of the intranet, easy promotion for reuse, and easy ways to get buy in from senior management, as just a few examples.

We want to make it obvious where the issues are, and make it easy to fix obvious issues.
