A Liverpool hospital will open its doors to schools, charities, community groups, and non-profits to give away a wide range of furniture and other items as part of its clearance plans.
Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will hold the open day clearance on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 January at the Royal Liverpool Hospital as part of its wider refurbishment initiative.
Items available to claim from the state-of the-art hospital include: metal trolleys; patient bed trolleys; disposable aprons; paper hand towels pedestals; desks; coffee table; wheeled cabinets; an assortment of chairs; and various Laser Jet Cartridges.
Many items are being replaced as they no longer comply with stringent hospital regulations. However, they remain perfectly useable, are in good condition, and can be used in a lot of other environments.
The Trust is keen that everything is put to good use and rehomed to nearby charities, schools, and other third sector organisations instead of being sent to landfill.
Items can be claimed on Warp It now and collections will take place on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 January.
Once an item is claimed via Warp it, organisations can book collection slots from 9am to 4.45pm on these days on a first-come-first-served basis.
All collections will take place at the main entrance of the old Royal on Prescott Street, Liverpool, L7 8XP.
Claimants will need to bring their own transport. Some support with moving items will be available on the collection days.
To find out more, book a slot or arrange an alternative collection date, which must be before 25 January, email sustainability@liverpoolft.nhs.uk.
